Erika joined the Funeral Directing team at Fred Dickey Funeral Home in July 2022.
She was born and raised in Laredo and attended Alexander High School. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Texas A&M International University.
Erika pursued her passion for serving others as she began working in the Funeral Service industry in 2008. She moved to Dallas, where she attended the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and graduated top of her class in 2011 and became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. She served numerous families in Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex through her nine years of employment at some of the finest funeral homes in the area.
Her experience in combination with her education, brough her the opportunity to educate those looking to begin a career in Funeral Service as she became an Anatomy Instructor at the Dallas Institute in 2021.
Erika has one daughter, who she enjoys traveling and going on adventures with. Erika is passionate about serving families and looks forward to now serving the community where she was raised.
