Violeta R. Uribe, 83, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 5, 2019.
Mrs. Uribe is preceded in death by her parents, Marcial and Margarita U. Ramirez; siblings, Derly N. Ramirez, Roberto A. Ramirez and Saul N. Ramirez.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years of marriage, Victor Alejandro Uribe, Sr.; children, Violeta (Eduardo) Esparza, Ada (Simon) Medina, Margarita (Juan Antonio+) Ojeda, Victor (Viola) Uribe, Jr and Azucezna “Susie” Uribe; 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; siblings, Hugo (Ella) Ramirez and Azucena Ramirez.
The family will be receiving guests Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 2019, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Uribe Cemetery in San Ygnacio, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Simon Medina, III, Victor A. Uribe, III, Ernesto M. Uribe, Juan Antonio, Jr., Eduardo Esparza, Jr., Joseph Jude Medina, Ron McGuire and Carlos McGuire. Special thanks to Dr. Luis M. Benavides, Nurses on Wheels and Doctors Hospital 5th Floor nurses.

My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I don't know what made me look up Violeta & Victor Uribe today 4/20/20, I just did. I do know that growing up across the street from them on Granada St, we Bastidos kids loved going over to their home. It was filled with kids and lots of love. and fun things to do. Let us give thanks to God and his promise of everlasting life in Jesus' Christ. Amen.
