Victor Hugo “Chore” Gonzalez, Jr. September 14, 1980 – December 17, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer, Victor passed away peacefully in San Antonio surrounded by his mother and other family members. Victor was born and raised in Laredo and graduated from Dr. Leo G. Cigarroa High School.
He was the oldest son born to Gloria Alvarado and Victor H. Gonzalez, Sr., and was a devoted brother to his sister Edna. Victor will forever be remembered for his enthusiasm and love of cars. Victor is mourned by his mother Gloria and her husband Fidel Alvarado, his father Victor H. Gonzalez, Sr., his sister Edna Vanessa (Andrew) Patlan his maternal grandmother Francisca R. Sanchez, his fiancé Maricela Reyna, his Aunt Carmen (Jorge Sandoval) Contreras, his uncles Enrique (Olga) Sanchez, Luis (Sara) Sanchez, Ruben (Juanita) Sandoval, Jesus (Cira) Sandoval, Dora (Jesus) Vela, Aimee Castillo along with numerous nieces, nephews and countless friends that held a special place in his heart. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Juan V. Sanchez, his uncles Juan M. Sanchez, Francisco R. Sanchez, and his paternal grandmother Manuela Sandoval.
The family will receive guests on Monday, December 21, 2015, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, where a vigil service will be held at 7:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from Fred Dickey Funeral Home to San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church with a mass at 9:00am. Interment will follow immediately to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
