Obituary

Vicente (Chente) Ramos, Jr., 66, entered into eternal rest on, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Vicente was born in 1955 in Laredo, Texas. After graduating from Nixon High School he immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he devotedly served his country from 1974-1979. He worked as a jailer for the Laredo Sheriff’s Department. He also worked for Entex, Reliant, and CenterPoint Energy from 1982-2021.

Vicente loved joking around, listening to music, dancing, but most of all spending time with family and friends. He was very devoted to his family and loved them endlessly. He was always a hard worker and always exceeded his work performance and was never just satisfied with 100% he always went above and beyond. His motto was “DO IT CORRECTLY OR NOT AT ALL”.

Vicente is preceded in death by his mother, Angelica Plata Ramos.

To the family of Vicente Ramos. Met Vicente in the late 1980s when he worked with Entex out of the San Marcos office and again in the late 1990s in Laredo. He was one of the most conscientious men I had ever met. He was a very talented man who spoke often of his family and what they meant to him. He was a good friend and I will miss him. I think of him often and still remember the bits of wisdom he shared with all of us. We are here for a short while and move on to the next level. We will all see Vicente again. I am looking forward to seeing him again so I can tell him that everything he told me was right.
