Salvador Torres passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on Dec. 1, 2015.

He was born on August 9, 1927 to Casimiro+ and Francisca+ Torres in Aguascalientes AGS and came to Laredo at the age of 2.

He owned and operated his auto mechanic shop – Torres Auto Repair until his retirement in 2000.

Salvador was preceded in death by his sisters, Catalina (Gonzalo+) Escobedo, Josefina (Alfredo+) Torres; his brothers, Macedonio (Maria) Torres and Rodolfo (Maria+) Torres.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Juana M. Torres; his daughters, San Juanita Torres, Blanca (Jaime) Meza and Thelma Torres; grandsons, Jaime A. (Melissa), Javier A. (Debbie), Jorge A. and Jesus A. Meza; his great-grandchildren, Tatiana Trevino, Javier A. Meza, Jr. and Julissa A. Meza.

He is also survived by his sister, Francisca (Domingo) Soto of Rockwall, TX; as well as many relatives, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Monday, December 7, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services.  Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm where a holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.  Memorial mass will be celebrated at 8:30 am.  The family encourages meeting at the church.  Inurnment will be held at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
