Rosaura Pérez, 69, went home to the Lord on September 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hermerejildo and Carmen Pérez.


Rosaura was an educator at Bruni Elementary School with LISD for 33 years and taught 1st Grade for the greater part of her career.


Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Daniel (Diana) Pérez, Roberto (Rosa) Pérez, Graciela (Alonzo) Rendon, several nieces, nephews, grand nephews, grand nieces, great-grand nephews and great-grand nieces as well as many other relatives and friends


The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Alex Blanco and staff, Dr. Cynthia Cantu and the staff at Laredo Specialty Hospital Wound Care, Dr. Carlos Espinoza and staff, Healing Hands Home Health Care, Express Ambulance Service, and her caregivers Lilybeth, Abtaly Arce, and Elsa Delgado.


Family will receive guests Wednesday September 6, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 7, 2017, at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Funeral mass will start at 10:00 a.m. Committal services will immediately follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

My condolences to the family. I taught with Rosaura for many years at Bruni Elementary School. She was a great teacher who cared about her students. I have many good memories of her.

Reciban nuestras condolencias. En Isaías 33:24 dice que llegara el día en que nadie dirá "estoy enfermo". En Revelación o Apocalipsis 21:4 dice que "Dios limpiara toda lágrima de los ojos y la muerte no sera mas, ni existirá ya mas lamento ni clamor ni dolor". Y en Hechos 24:15 dice que "va ha haber una resurrección". Estas promesas pronto Jehova Dios las cumplirá y podremos vivir en paz por una eternidad porque ya no existirá las enfermedades ni la muerte. Además nos dice Dios que tiene el deseo de devolverles la vida de nuestros seres queridos que hayan muerto.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of our cousin Rosaura P. Perez. She will be truly missed and we will include her in our daily prayers. A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on.
