Rosa Escobedo, 92, entered into eternal rest, Sunday, April 9, 2023.
Rosa was born on August 30, 1930 to Celia G. Vega and Maximino R. Vega in Laredo, TX along side her brother. She went to school at The Holding Institute in Laredo, TX. She worked for H-E-B Food Stores for over 35 years. Those who knew her loved her. She was always willing to go above and beyond for those she loved. She was a great mother and ultimately the greatest grandmother that will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her father Maximino R. Vega, her mother Celia G. Vega, her brother Manuel Vega, and sons Alejandro Escobedo, Alfredo Escobedo and Alfonso Escobedo.
Rosa is survived by her children Maria Rosa Escobedo (husband Oscar Escobedo), Alberto Escobedo (wife Margarita Ramos Escobedo), Alonzo Escobedo and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Escobedo family will be receiving guests on Thursday, April 13, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023, at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church, located at 2502 Zaragoza St, Laredo, TX 78040. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
