On behalf of my beloved Mother and late father, I wish to express, extend our heart-felt thanks for those family members and friends who were able to attend, participate his vigil, eulogy, and reception as well as Navy Honor Guard ceremony on Saturday (4/18/15), and memorial mass at San Luis Rey Church on Monday evening (4/20/15). If I knew my father as he knew me, I know that he would have been touched to see all of the Valdezes, Lunas, Ortegones, Rodriguezes, Barnes, Gonzales, Rios, Gaitans, Arredondos, and Ballesteros as well as his buddies from the 68 Club, celebrating his life journey. Please accept our deepest appreciation for all those who expressed their condolences at this time. Vayan Con Dios Que Nos Bendiga (Go With God Who Blesses Us)! my, our father's river of life

I would like to express my condolences to your family, it can be hard for friends and family to find the right words to express at difficult times like these. The Bible is a great source to look into and has helped me personally when My dad passed away. Jesus Christ promised that millions now dead will live again on this earth and have the prospect of remaining on it forever in a peaceful beautiful paradise earth. (Isaiah 35:5,6 John 5:29) A comforting thought is at Revelation 21:3,4, where it states "...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore the former things have past away". This scripture gives us hope for the future! You can also find comfort in Acts 24:15 - Death does not end it all. May Jehovah God bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time. (Ps.46:1, Ps.83:18)

My sincere condolences to the Valdez family, I used to see Robert around Laredo a few years back and we would talk about 'la colonia' from time to time. He was a good, sincere and hard working man. May he rest in peace. God keep you all.

My Dear Friend Roxy, I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not have the pleasure to meet your dad but, Sam did and he became very fond of him. Sam admired your father very much. Sam would meet up with him regularly at the 68 club. It appears they had several things in common, both avid readers and history buffs. May he rest in peace and my sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Condolences to the family, especially my brother Danny Valdez and sister in law Elizabeth Valdez who unselfishly looked after his father for over 18 years as they opened their heart and their home. Danny and Elizabeth were there to offer comfort, security, and a pleseant environment as they assisted with his daily needs. We are happy he will meet with all his family members who've preceeded him in death and those friends who impacted his life, especially Graciela Sanchez of over 50yrs. God has opened his doors to all who believe in him.
