Roberto Elizondo, 79, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at a local hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather to his beautiful family.
Mr. Elizondo had a passion for cooking especially at home and was known for his delicious authentic Mexican food. He was an ideal father figure to his entire family.
He was employed at the Texas Mexican Railway Co. for the past 30 years as a freight foreman crew and conductor until his retirement.
Mr. Elizondo is preceded by his mother: Andrea Sosa Elizondo, his father: Dolores “Lolo” Elizondo, Sr. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years of marriage, Eliza Elizondo, children: Roberto (Maria C.) Elizondo, Jr., Diana (Alejandra) Elizondo and Patricia (Erick) Valdez, Sr., grandchildren: Eliza Denise Elizondo and Erick Valdez, Jr., brother: Dolores (Minerva) Elizondo, Jr. numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and a rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 26, 2017, funeral procession will depart at 9:20 am to San Agustín Cathedral where a holy mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Committal service will be at a later date.
