Obituary

Rita C. Hernandez, 89, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jesus Hernandez; husband, Jose Hernandez; parents, Candelario & Sotera Contreras; siblings, Esther Ramos, Pedro Contreras, Marcelino Contreras, and Francisco Contreras.

Rita is survived by her children, Raul Hernandez (Leticia), Maricela Soto (Victor); siblings, Angela Medina, Refugio Contreras (Virginia); 12 grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Hernandez; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving guests on Monday, January 2, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Funeral services will continue to Saint Jude Catholic Church, located at 2031 Lowry Rd, Laredo, TX 78045 where Mass will begin at 10:30 am. Cremation will be held at a later date.

?To my beautiful Aunt Rita Hernandez ?who was a loving lady had so much love for everyone she taught me the meaning of love towards one another she always had a smile on her face she always blessed us even after my mom was gone she took over blessings me and my siblings I will miss her dearly RIP Tia till we meet again ?

I am so sorry for your loss. She was very much loved by so many and while this pain will be in your hearts, always cherish the memories you have with her. A scripture that I find comfort is John 5:28,29, " Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice".
