Obituary

Rene Salinas, Jr., 49, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maria Salinas; children, Alejandra (Alejandro Figueroa) Salinas, Rene Andres Salinas, Emily Salinas and Destiney Salinas; mother, Margarita Salinas; siblings, Patricia Salinas, Martin (Olegaria) Salinas and Pepe (Cecilia) Salinas, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family will receive guests Friday, June 14, 2019, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services.  A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019, at San Martin de Porres Church.  The funeral mass will start at 9:30 am.  Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Rene was a great person. I knew him for over 20 years. He was my first truck wash employees. He kept working hard and had a great attitude and very humorous . He would make you laugh all the time.he moved up from position to position. M.S Carriers was our home. M.S. Carriers was purchased by Swift. Many of us moved on. I was very proud of him . He make all the way to be a shop manager for Another trucking company. I will miss him because he always thank me for leading him and given him and opportunity to better himself. God Bless my friend Rene and God Bless his family.

So sorry for your loss, Rene was a great person and co-worker. I always enjoyed talking to Rene on the phone and seeing his big smile when visiting the Laredo terminal. To The Family of Rene Salinas; My Heart hurts..I just wasn't expecting to receive the news of Rene's passing. It has been an extreme pleasure working with Rene all these years here at Werner. He was such a kind, warm hearted, humble person. He's truly, truly going to be missed. Rest well my Friend...Rest well...
