Refugia “Cuca” Vasquez, 95, passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Cuca as affectionately known was a devoted mother and will greatly be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Vasquez is preceded in death by her parents: Refugio (Antonia) Vasquez, stepmother: Martha Vasquez, brothers: Nestor Vasquez and Juan de Dios Vasquez, sisters: Felipa Camarillo and Elida H. Vasquez and half siblings: Adan Vasquez and Herminia Rodriguez.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Antonio (Gudrun) Paz, Esther (Roberto) Sanchez, Juanita (+Tomas) Quiroz, Antonia (Agustin) Delgado, Jose (Rosa) Salazar, Jr., Luis (Lucia) Salazar, Irma Salazar, Emma Salazar and Carolina Vasquez, 28 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A chapel service will be officiated at 10:00am. Interment will immediately follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
