Dear Montemayor Family, I met Pete at Claydesta Buildings in Midland, Texas when I was working for Clayton Williams Companies. Pete was a wonderful and caring man that I was so happy and honored to meet. I am so sorry for your loss. I will remember him forever.
Dear Montemayor family, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss of one of the greatest men I have ever met and worked with. I first met Pete when I reported as a very young Highway Patrolman in El Paso in 1978. Pete taught me a lot and I'm sure some of his counsel kept me safe throughout my law enforcement career. May he rest in eternal peace.
Dear Montemayor Family; I first met Pete when he worked for my late husband who was Midland District Attorney. We both thought most highly of him. I also always enjoyed running into him when he was at Claydesta. Pete was a fine man and will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to you all. Mrs. James A. Mashburn (Lynn)

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Montemayor family. Pedro was a very good friend and we worked together for many years in El Paso and in Midland. He always spoke highly of his loving family and of the joy they brought him.
I first met Pete in 1984 when I needed his assistance on a homicide that occurred in Pecos. His assistance was invaluable and helped clear the homicide. This started a lasting friendship and we worked together many times after I came to Midland in 1988. Pete was always willing to help and I will never forget him. Chief Deputy Ed Krevit - Midland County Sheriff's Office - Midland, Texas
Pete and Maria were faithful servants and members of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Midland. Always greeted us with a smile and a hug. Prayers and condolences to the family.

Loved working with Pete in the Midland office in the early 80's...except the day I accidentally hit his brand new state issued Chevy car with my Blazer! But he was a good man, and he refrained from shooting me, and we remained friends. :) Rest in Peace Pete!! Prayers to the family.
