Patricia (Pat) Beaufoy Nava, 82, left us suddenly on May 15, 2015, in Laredo, Texas. Pat was born in Dagenham, England and was preceded in death by her dear husband, Felipe Nava Lizarraga, in 1995. Pat is survived by her beloved children Alexandra (Austin), Victor (Del Rio), Patrick and wife Cordy, and grandson Matthew Cole Nava (Laredo).
Pat came from England to San Antonio, TX, crossing the ocean on the Queen Elizabeth in 1951, joining her sister in Texas for a bright new future. As a child, Pat was shaped by her experiences growing up in London during WWII and then by her experiences living in Texas, where she met her future husband Felipe at their jobs in a department store in downtown San Antonio.
Pat became an avid reader of subjects that reminded her of England, especially Winston Churchill. She loved to watch her favorite soap, and was an advocate for shelter pets. Pat’s mother and father were Hetty Prior and Oliver Beaufoy. Her sisters were Jackie and Cil, and her brothers were Richard, Len, and half-brother Sid.
The visitation will be Tuesday evening May 19, 2015, 5 to 7 pm at the Fred Dickey Funeral Home, 1320 Trey Dr., Laredo, TX. The chapel service will also be at the Fred Dickey Funeral Home on Wednesday morning, at 9:30 am, with funeral procession to follow. Interment will be in the City Cemetery.

Alex, Victor and Patrick, so sorry to hear of your loss. I have such wonderful memories of your lovely Mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
I've so many precious memories of Mrs. Nava and her family. I will certainly miss visiting with her over the fence or running into her at the grocery store. The back yard will never be as bright or beautiful without seeing her in it. Pat was a rare jewel of a lady and it has been a genuine joy and a blessing to have known her. My Love and deepest sympathy goes out to Alex, Victor, and Patrick at this unimaginably difficult time. -Kurt
