Pablo Valle, 81, passed away on May 2, 2023 peacefully in his sleep. He is preceded in death by his sisters Martha Joyce, Cecilia Valle, and Rosario Valle. Also preceded in death by his parents Pablo and Margaret Newman Valle and by his grandparents William and Rosario Newman.
He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served in the U.S. Army for 6 years and achieved the rank of GP5. He was employed as the City Service Furniture Warehouse Manager for 19 years. Later he was employed at Time Warner Cable for another 19 years and retired in 2003. He is survived by his loving and inseparable wife, Edna, of 57 years. His bother-in-law Emilio Negrete (Becky), and his dear cousin Mary Gail Leyendecker.
Pablo was extremely proud of his family. All of his children and grandchildren were very close to him. Surviving him are his three daughters Cynthia L. Rodriguez (Juan), Melissa Y. Cruz (Rene) and Edna L. Valle (Gerardo). His nine grandchildren: Valeria V. Rodriguez, Melizza M. Robins (Joshua), Kimberly A. Bunn (Ian), Cathy J. Rodriguez, Alyssa N. Cruz and Alex R. Cruz, Jeniffer J. Higgins (Crawford), Ashley Pineda (Hector) and Jarid V. Light. Also surviving him are his great-grandchildren, Charles, Crawford, Cayson and Caroline Higgins, Desmond, Alex and Nathaniel Pinieda.
The family is thankful to Father Francisco Leon for all his support. Thanks to his son-in-law Juan Rodriguez who whole heartedly tended to him during his illness. Mr. Valle was blessed with wonderful neighbors and friends, Cynthia and Oscar Gutierrez, Linda Murillo, and Alvaro Liendo. His Comadres and Compadres Aida Byrd, Thelma Chacon, Mr. & Mrs. Eddie Lozano & families, Carlos Velasquez and all his Safari Restaurant friends and prayer group.
Services will be at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services Angelus Chapel. The wake will be on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. The burial is set for Friday, May 12, 2023 with a mass at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and a Veteran funeral with full military honors in the Veterans section of the Laredo City Cemetery immediately after the church services.
Pallbearers: Juan Rodriguez, Rene F. Cruz, Alex R. Cruz, Heriberto Carrillo, Hector Pineda, Oscar Gutierrez, Gerardo Arellano, Jarid V. Light, Crawford Higgins. Honorary Pallbearers are Emilio Negrete, Arely Erazo, and Eddie Lozano, Carlos Velasquez.
