My sincere condolences to Okie's family..we go back a long time. We worked for Kroger and my husband and I tried to be at every ball game he played in. Kroger sponsored the team and alot of fine young men won many championships under the name. I have many pictures and memories of these games. I even have a trophy that Okie gave me from one of the games. He will always have a special place in my heart. God's blessings be with you today and always. May Okie rest in peace in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ..

Everett, Palacios families and other loved ones of Okie’s, We offer your families our most heartfelt condolences. I worked with Okie at Kroger’s and I also played softball with him on the Kroger’s and later Peppers softball team, this during my college years. He was a very helpful co-worker, outstanding player on our softball team, but even a better person as a friend. I will never forget the camaraderie we developed working and playing softball together. RIP, my friend. Father God and Lord Jesus Christ, we humbly request that you welcome Okie into your kingdom. Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Joseph and all angels and saints, please intercede on our behalf. In your name we ask. Amen!✝️????????

My wife Laura, was telling me that Okie and her became fast friends at Clark Middle when they both worked there. Both lucky they would both always win at the raffles they did at school during luncheons. And Okie gave my wife a frog for good luck, many years ago, when my wife won a jackpot at Kikapoo as she held the little frog in her hand. We were teammates as we played with the Peppers’ team, he always excelled in softball, as he did in all sports he played. A great person and better friend. A true gentleman who will be sorely missed.
