Nicole Lauren Pfister
January 14, 2001 – July 29, 2022

Nicole Lauren Pfister is preceded in death by her grandfather Reynaldo Leal.

She is survived by her daughter Luna May Richards; partner Ian Santiago; mother Clarissa Leal; father figure Luis Garza; siblings Memphis Chavera; Dustin Chavera; grandmother Rosario Morales; uncle Reynaldo Leal Jr.; and aunt Krizella Leal.

Nicole Pfister was an honest friend, a special partner, a wonderful mother, and a loving daughter. Everyone knew she was present in the room because everything felt complete and brighter. Where there was a bowl of Ramen involved, Nicole was surely to be involved. Those who knew her well, remember her love for her family, friends, significant other, and daughter. We will remember Nicole for her beautiful perspective on life, growing faith, laughter, eternal smile, will to fight, quirky sayings, and selflessness when it came to the ones she loved.

Nicole had a special love for her family and friends, especially for her daughter Luna. Her family held her up when difficult times were present, and her close friends were there for her when she needed an escape from reality. She enjoyed her time listening to Elvis, Halsey, and Melanie Martinez in her baby blue Fiat she named Pearl as she sang along with Luna and Ian. She also enjoyed her time with her close friends trying new Ramen spots and having quality time with Luna. She loved taking trips to see Christmas lights, pumpkin patches, Fiesta Texas, and of course, Target. Nicole lived her life with purpose by advocating for other cancer patients and getting involved in college with an organization called “She’s the First.” Her story in “Team Nicole” touched the lives of thousands of people around the world. Nicole was able to experience finding true love with her partner Ian, being a mother to Luna whom she lived and fought for, and embrace the love of all her family and friends. Nicole was and is still truly loved and will forever be missed and will forever live in our hearts and memories.

As a show of appreciation, we cordially invite you to join us on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm for Nicole’s Memorial Visitation with a 7:00 pm Church service. Continuing Friday, August 19, 2022 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am followed by a farewell ride to TAMIU before the Interment continues to the Laredo City Cemetery. We will commemorate the life of Nicole and pay tribute to her legacy.

My sincere condolences to Nicole's family and friends. I never met Nicole in person however I followed her on Facebook from her early teen years. Never have I seen a more courageous young lady. She endured so much in her short life. Rip Nicole! You were so loved and definitely will be missed by all! Sending thoughts and prayers to Nicole's beautiful family. I battle with depression. I started following Nicole since her first battle. She was a beacon of strength. Following her story gave me strength. I offer my sympathies to all who loved her, but I know that isn't enough. There aren't words that can take away the pain. I do hope it brings tou comfort in knowing how many lives she effected. She created such a huge ripple in this world and will NEVER be forgotten. Her strength with continue to help others. Prayers for all her loved ones.

I never knew Nicole in person but I feel like I lost a friend. I’ve been following Nicole for many years. I was glad to to see less updates when she went into remission, that meant she was good. I’d see the ocasional beautiful posts about pregnancy, graduation etc…then all of a sudden it was notification after notification and I knew …….. I prayed and prayed . Watching Nicole fight the biggest battle was light I never knew someone could have. Nicole was so strong a true fighter. She lived her life to the fullest didn’t let anything take her down.
