Minerva Rodriguez, 88, was called by the Lord to her resting place in Heaven Tuesday, January 16, 2018, in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Laredo and lived in Wisconsin most of her life. Her greatest time is spending time with her loving family and Sunday football, as a “die hard Cowboy’s fan”. Even though she lost her battle with cancer, her legacy lives on.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ricardo Rodriguez; sons, Ricardo Rodriguez, Jr, David Rodriguez and Jorge Rodriguez; grandchildren, Ernesto Molina Jr. and George Ibarra; parents, Adolfo and Cristela Treviño; sister, Alicia Treviño.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Ernesto (Yolanda) Molina, Leonardo (Alicia) Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Maria Rodriguez, Luis Rodriguez and Yolanda (Baldomero) Barajas; grandchildren, Jorge Molina, Antonio Molina, J.D. Rodriguez, Emilio Rodriguez, Luis Weinkauff, Roberto Brown, Alejandro Rodriguez, Larissa Rodriguez, Elijah Rodriguez, Martha (Domingo) Alvarez, Oscar (Patricia) Ibarra, Ruby Ibarra, Yvette Ibarra, Richard Ibarra, Maricela Barajas and Ana Laura Rodriguez.
Mrs. Rodriguez is also survived by her sisters, Elena T. Rios and Melida Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Ernesto Molina III, Selena Molina, Jaylyn Molina, Adrian Weinkauff, Cristian Rodriguez, Aracely Alvarez, Fernando Alvarez, Nadya Ibarra and Manolo Ibarra.
The family will receive guests Friday, January 26, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at San Agustine Cathedral. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
