Maria Teresa Fierro de Alexander

Maria Teresa Fierro de Alexander, 88 years old passed away peacefully on March 1, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends.Services will be held in St. Patrick’s Church this Saturday March 3rd, visitation at 11am and mass at twelve noon.She was born January 25, 1924 and lived most of her life in Mexico City where she was an admirable daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She was a devout Catholic who studied in El Colegio Frances in Mexico. Years later, she was one of the founders of La Residencia San Jose in support and care of the elderly. She was an active member of “Movimiento Familiar Cristiano”.At home, she delighted us with her skills as a pianist. Tere will be remembered by her family and friends for her delicious cooking which she made with kindness and generosities, making everyone feel at home.She shared a loving marriage with Jesus Raul Alexander, 90, who held her hand for 61 years. After years of devotion to each other, their relationship was a testimony of profound, unconditional love.She left in the same way that she lived: full of love, peace, and dignity guided in the light of God.Her legacy will be the importance of nourishing spirituality, forming strong family bonds, and being a true friend to all those who entered her life.Tere is survived by her husband Jesus Raul Alexander; sister Gertrudis Solaris; three sons Eduardo, Gabriel, and Gerardo; daughter Maru Portillo (Rodolfo); and 11 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and her daughter Tere Alexander.The family will forever be thankful to Dr. Diego Menchaca, Rita Haber, and San Jose Home Health Care (Adriana Martinez), and many wonderful friends.
