Maria Leonila Herrera, 95, Christian soldier of the Salvation Army Laredo Core was promoted to glory Wednesday, September 16, 2020.

Mrs. Herrera is preceded in death by her husband, Atilano Herrera; grandsons, Jessie Herrera, Stacy Herrera, and Jacob Liendo.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Candelaria (Rodolfo) Villa, Simon Herrera, Lydia Herrera, Martin Herrera, Rosa (Jesus) Liendo; grandchildren, Rudy (Antonieta) Villa, Samuel Villa, Dina (Isaac) Chavira, Melanie Herrera, Cynthia (Juan) Chapa, Eliseo Herrera, Daniel Herrera, David Herrera, Delilah (Tirso) Martinez, Arturo (Adriana) Liendo,  Nancy (Fidel) Flores, Rebecca Villa,  Consuelo (Willie) Olmeido; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; as well as other family and friends who will greatly miss her.

The family will be receiving guests, Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be officiated by the Salvation Army Laredo Officer in charge Capt. Rogelio Galabeas at 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020, at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. A chapel service will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow to the City Cemetery.
