Obituary

Born on July 26, 1947, in Laredo, Texas to Juan & Beatriz A. Mendoza. She graduated from Martin High School. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Juan Mendoza Sr.; brothers, Enrique Mendoza and baby Andy Mendoza; nephews, Raul Mendoza and Frank Mendoza Jr.

Survivors include her loving mother Beatriz A. Mendoza; husband, Mario Tapia; sisters, Sylvia (+Raymond) Diaz, Ana Maria (+Domingo) Fernandez, Maria Luisa (Francisco) Contreras, Noemi A. (Javier D.) Juarez Sr.; brothers, Francisco (Judy) Mendoza, Juan (Angeles) Mendoza Jr., Arturo Mendoza, Mario A. (+Janie), Mendoza Sr., Armando (Sandra) Mendoza Sr.; numerous nieces and nephews, Melissa (Juan) Urbina, Ruben (Janie) Mendoza. Her beloved dog Blondie, whom she loved being a dog parent.

Pallbearers will be Juan Mendoza Jr., Mario Alberto Mendoza Sr., Armando Mendoza Sr., Arturo Mendoza Sr., Francisco Mendoza Sr., Ruben Mendoza, Sergio Contreras, Jerry Contreras, and Rick Diaz.

The family will be having a private service on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Prayer service will start at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

To: Wella , brothers and sisters, I wished l had the perfect words so your pain be less . However, l do know that Tía Nena is extra special because she is rejoicing with the Lord before us. Though l am so sorry for the pain this is causing for her unexpected departure. I am just so glad she got to see my wedding and l will treasure that moment forever.
