Maria Del Pilar Vasquez, 80, entered into eternal rest, Friday, May 5, 2023. Ms. Vasquez graduated from Martin High School Class of 1961 and Texas Women University in 1965. She worked for L.I.S.D at Santa Maria Elementary School. We want to express gratitude to her next door neighbors Martha Perez & Family and Mr. and Mrs. Julio Solano, who always kept a watchful eye over her.
Ms. Vasquez is preceded in death by her parents; Santiago Vasquez and Juanita Carbajal Vasquez, siblings; Beatriz (Baldomero) Ortiz, Santiago Vasquez, Jr., Alfredo Vasquez and Consuelo Vasquez.
She is survived by her 14 nieces/nephews; Natividad (Javier) Mireles, Oscar B. Ortiz, Araceli (+Enes) Piña, Oralia (Jeremiah) Rangel, Beatriz Ortiz, Jose Luis Ortiz, Rebecca Perdomo, Adrian Vasquez, Victor Vasquez, Alfredo (Denise) Vasquez, Julissa (David) Crist, Enrique (Lisa) Vasquez, Jose Alfredo Vasquez and Abraham (Jessica) Vasquez, close friends; Ms. Thais Morales and Mr. Bruno Ramos, sisters in law; Rosa (Santiago Jr+) Vasquez and Martina (Alfredo+) Vasquez.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A chapel service will begin at 10:00 am. Cremation services will be held at a later date.
