Margarita De La Garza, 69, entered into eternal peace on Friday, June 10, 2016.
Mrs. De La Garza was a very kind and caring soul; she had a loving and generous heart.
She was predeceased by her parents: Renato and Vicenta Santos; brother: Jesus Severo Santos, her parents-in-law: Jose (Ernestina) De La Garza Sr., great-nephew: Oscar Menchaca, sisters-in-law: Cecilia (Ramiro) Maldonado and Clara (Romeo) Hinojosa.
She leaves her memories to be cherished by her loving husband of 46 years of marriage, Jose De La Garza, Jr. their son; Jose De La Garza III, siblings: Irma (Tomas) Menchaca, Manuela (Edmundo) Garcia and Maria Luisa (Gilbert Duane) Rivera, Juan (Janet) Santos, Renato (Bertha) Santos Jr. and Ricardo (Norma) Santos, sisters-in-law: Margarita (Manuel) Renteria, Maria Luisa (+Alonso) Vazquez and Josefa De La Garza, brothers-in-law: Hector De La Garza and Bernardo (Virginia) De La Garza; also survived by other, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. Interment will follow the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Tomas Menchaca IV, Edmundo Garcia Jr., Ricardo Garcia, Edgar Garcia, Daniel Santos, Martin Maldonado Jr. and Gilbert D. Rivera. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ricardo Santos, Renato Santos Jr. and Juan Santos.
