Linda Mae Ruffing passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017, in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Ruffing, a loving mother, was born on November 18, 1942, in Bell, CA. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and collecting flamingos. Soon after she married Charles Ruffing, they moved to Texas with two of their children, Michael and Cynthia. She was best known for her kind heart, Christmas time chocolates and her cross-stitching. She spent many hours praying for each person for whom she created her beautiful handstitched masterpieces. Linda was blessed to live near her two of her children in her final years. After 74 years on this earth, she was greeted in Heaven by her husband Charles, her parents, and her close friends who preceded her.
She is survived by her daughter Cynthia, her son Michael and her stepchildren Robin Ruffing, Terri Ruffing Allen. She was also blessed with her eight grandchildren: Mandy, Kaitlin, Jessica, Charles, Blake, Alyssa, Sarah, and Parker.
The family would like to thank the staff at Doctors’ Hospital, Providence, Laredo Specialty and LMC ER for their care and support as well as the attentiveness of Global Home Health.
There will be celebration of her life at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services on February 15th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The family requests that those in attendance refrain from wearing black.
