Leon Valdez, 82, passed away, Friday, June 17, 2016. He was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. Mr. Valdez was a veteran of the United States Army. During his tour of duty he was station overseas as a Private First Class. He proudly served two terms one from 1961 to 1962 after his tour of duty he came home to pursue his career as a contractor. Mr. Valdez will be dearly missed by all his family and friends whose lives he touched.
Mr. Valdez is preceded in death by his parents: Jose Dolores (Herminia) Valdez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Evelia A. Valdez, children: Adrian (Olga) Valdez, Gabriel Valdez, Jorge A. (Marina) Valdez, Salvador Valdez, Mauricio F. Valdez, Sergio H. Valdez, Leonardo I. (Araceli) Valdez, grandchildren: Adrian U. Valdez., Miguel A. Valdez, Ricardo G. Valdez, Elisa G. Valdez, Ana E. Desauliniers, Leonel A. Valdez, Josue Mateo Valdez, Jorge A. Valdez, Dina S. Valdez, Diego Valdez, Daniel E. Valdez, Gustavo O. Valdez, Jesus S. Valdez, Samantha H. Valdez, Marla Y. Castillo, Gerardo I. Valdez, Orlando J. Valdez, great grandchildren: Natalie Anahi Avila, Nina Angela Valdez, Rodrigo Valdez, Taylor Montemayor, Delilah Davila, Daniela Valdez, Ariel Castillo, Eric L. Castillo, sister : Luz Barrera.

Our Deepest Heartfelt Condolences to the Valdez Family. Tio Leon, as I honorably called him has been called to the lord. He was called upon before our country and he valiantly arrived. He has been called upon to our Lords house and he also valiantly has arrived. We will dearly miss him. I have so many fond memories of Tio Leon. He was such a great man. Rest in Peace
