Any time I got to be around with Karyna it was nothing but smiles, she would always light up a room whether it be with her inclusive sense of humor, her bright and constantly creative mind, or even her sweet and gentle presence and kind-hearted nature. Some of the funniest and most prominent memories of her that I'm still reminded of on a daily basis, are the times when I would come down to lunch and wait for her and her close friends to all take a seat at the circular table they all sat at towards the back of the cafeteria, and scare her with this silly snorting noise I could make and she would usually end up back-handing me right in the nose out of suddenly being spooked. I remember one time she knocked me in the face a little harder than usual, and after helping me off the floor and putting my glasses back on me, we all laughed like a pack of hyenas until we were all wheezing and had endless tears running down our faces. There wasn't a day where we wouldn't bring it up and recount the moment over and over again without having a good laugh and just overall reminiscing on a happy moment out of countless others we made together. It wasn't until this past Monday afternoon that I had learned of her passing, and after I took a step back I'm denial hoping it was just some really blown-out-of-proportion hearsay, I felt my heart shatter into trillions in pieces. What pained me even further was that it has almost been a year since her passing, and this whole time of my freshman and throughout my sophomore year of high school I had been trying to find a way to reconnect with her after our "quarantine graduation" to try and catch up and possibly see each other again. I will never be the same after loosing such a big part of what shaped me to be who I am today, and bottom line just an overall wonderful person who brought joy to all that came in contact with her. Rest easy Karyna, you deserve to be in paradise more than anyone else in the world❤

I was Karyna's 4th grade teacher and I have nothing but fond memories of her. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. Peace for your family.
