Juanita Martinez Vaquera, 70, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010.She was committed to her family and loved working . She spent 34 years at the old Mercy Hospital helping and caring for her patients. Everyone she had contact with was a friend and a very determined and dedicated woman, very positive and happy.She is survived by her son; Jesus M. Vaquera (Melissa) of Laredo, grandson; Jesus Reymundo Vaquera, granddaughter; Jessica Dinora Vaquera.Brothers; Jose Roman (Antonia) Martinez of Chicago, Illinois, Jorge (Eleanor) Martinez of Tucson, AZ, and Rogelio (Rosa) Martinez of Corpus Christi. Sister; Mrs. Esteban (Guadalupe) Sosa of San Antonio and Mrs. Maria Blazquez of El Paso,Tx., and her special nephew; Ricardo Blazquez.She was preceded in death by her parents Jesus and Juanita Martinez, her brother; Ricardo Martinez and her sister; Trinidad Dovalina.The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, from 5pm-9pm and a rosary recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 22, 2010, from Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services to San Luis Rey Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30am.
