Obituary

“Dad, your pain and suffering has finally come to an end.  You have shown us what true heroes are made of.  May you find peace, solace, and happiness in the arms of those that have passed on before you.  We love you dearly and await the day we can see you again.”

He was born July 21, 1934 in Laredo, Texas.  He was the eldest of ten children born to Juventino López, Sr. and Maria de la Luz Sánchez-Uribe de López.  Mr. Lopez was a proud 8th generation Texan and a direct descendant of the pioneering families of the San Ygnacio and Zapata area, including Don Jesus Treviño, founder of San Ygnacio, Texas.  He served honorably in the U.S. Army and after his discharge from the military, he worked at Paul Young Chevrolet and later spent many years working at the Texas-Mexican Railway (Tex-Mex) in Laredo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juventino Lopez Sr. (1975), Maria de la luz Sanchez-Uribe de Lopez (1992); siblings: Maria del Carmen Bingham, Salvador Lopez, Juventino Lopez Jr., and Jaime Alfredo Lopez.  His beloved son, who he mourned for the past 27 years, Juan Manuel Lopez, Jr. passed away in 1990 and daughter Araceli Lopez.

Reciban nuestras condolencias.
