Juan Jose Gonzalez, 69 years old, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Joe (Pepe) Gonzalez as he was known, was a devoted husband, brother, son, and uncle.
He graduated from Martin High School, Class of 1965. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War, and later honorably discharged as a Rank Specialist Four. After the Army, he worked with Share Technologies Inc. from Houston, Texas for 39 years, before he retired.
He is preceded in death by his mother: Ana Maria Gonzalez, father: Luis Gonzalez, grandmothers: Antonia M. Gonzalez and Paula T. Guerrero, grandfathers: Miguel Gonzalez and Eugenio Trujillo.
Mr. Juan Jose Gonzalez is survived by his loving wife Virginia F. Gonzalez, sister: Maria Del Rosario Gonzalez Solis (Pedro), brothers: Miguel Luis Gonzalez (Maria Elena), Ernesto Gonzalez (Elsa), Antonio Gonzalez (Carmen) and Luis Gonzalez Jr., sisters: Laura Gonzalez Smith (Juan), Ana Maria Gonzalez Valadez, brothers: Humberto Gonzalez, and Jesus Gonzalez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, five stepsons, step grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Sunday, May 10, 2015, at 11:30am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends Sunday May 10, 2015, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Dr. from 5 to 9pm. A rosary will be at 7pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015. Chapel service will officiate at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at the City Cemetery on the Veteran’s Plot. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 and flag fold presentation by the United States Army.
