I will forever hold his memory very close to my heart. I taught at United High School in Laredo, Texas for 12 years under the leadership of this great man, who was our Dept. Chair. Joe was the type of person who was always ready to defend his department whenever situations came up. He was always ready to serve his colleagues in any way he could. Joe, I will always remember you and your entire family, who came to mean so much to me and my family. It was an honor and a privilege to have worked with you. May you Rest in Peace my dear friend.
Moreno Family: I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I was a classmate of Joe's at Martin Hi Sch, having graduated in '68; he was a great athlete and overall a wonderful person. I pray that God give you peace and serenity. Mary Perez-Ziegler Roebuck SC
