José Antonio “Pepe” Rugama, 71, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015. Jose was born in Cuba and came to Laredo in 1960 where he resided most of his life.
Mr. Rugama was known for his kindness towards other people and always willing to help anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his parents: José & Victoria Rugama and former wife, Cookie McKendrick. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of ten years of marriage, Maria Rebeca Gonzalez Rugama, brother, Santiago (Ludivina) Rugama, nephews: José (Sonia) Rugama and Santiago (Lyndsey) Rugama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany House.
The family will receive guests Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services for a memorial visitation from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
