Jose Angel Tamez Jr. Was a strong and caring person, very humble to many who knew him. On August 21, 2023 at the age of 79, He received his wings and his transition to be with the Lord and his heavenly home.

Jose Angel Tamez Jr. Was born to deceased father Jose Angel Tamez and deceased mother Maria Teresa Amesquita on March 22, 1944 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

He was a bright and talented man who had Love for the game of baseball since a very young age from playing himself to creating many city teams. Jose started his own welding business, which he ran for 54 years and did many works for the people here in Laredo, Tx. Always very honest and helpful for those who needed a helping hand. Jose, also loved spending time with family and friends.

Jose is survived by (5) children, Veronica Ibarra Tamez Partner Roberto Ibarra Jr., Maria Cantu Tamez Partner Jerry Cantu, Angelica Machado Tamez Partner Jesús Machado, José Ángel Tamez III Partner Brenda Treviño Tamez, Homero Tamez Partner Deyanira Villarreal Tamez. He is also survived by his sister Maria Teresa Rogerio Tamez along with 7 nephews 16 grandchildren’s and 21 great grandchildren’s.

The Tamez family will be receiving guests on Saturday, September 2, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Interment will be held at a later date in Jardin De Los Angeles located in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
