The family will receive guests Monday, May 30, 2016, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A rosary service will officiate at 7:00 pm.
A Holy Mass will officiate San Martin de Porres on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow to the Catholic Calvary Cemetery.

Jose Alonso “Poncho” Robles, Jr., passed away peacefully at the age of 84 on May 25, 2016, in Laredo, Tx.
Jose Alfonso was born in Laredo, Tx on May 19, 1932, to Jose Robles and Maria Guzman Robles. He obtained his GED before enlisting in the US Air Force. After Jose Alonso separated from the military he got married and had three children. Mr. Robles went on to become an officer with the Laredo Police Dept. for several years. He went on to work at General Motors in Detroit, Mi.
After his retirement, he moved to Midland,Tx. where he lived with his eldest brother Roger Robles for many years. He went on to live with his “carnala” Gloria Oropeza in Laredo, Tx. where he enjoyed dancing with his sister at a local restaurant on Saturday nights. Mr. Robles loved spending time with his family.
Poncho spent the last 8 years of his life at Regent Care Center in Laredo, Tx. where he enjoyed playing the guitar and loteria until his passing.
Jose Alfonso is preceeded in death by his parents; Jose and Maria Robles, brother; David Mario Robles, son; Gustavo Robles.
Mr. Robles is survived by his children; Rogelio and Sylvia Robles, brothers; Rogelio (Maria Carlota) Robles, Benjamin (Rebecca) Robles, and sister; Gloria (Carlos) Oropeza, several grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
“Pepito” as he was affectionately called, will be remembered as a gentle, loving, and funny brother and uncle.
The pallbearers will be Rogelio Robles, John David Robles, Carlos Oropeza, Jorge L. Gonzalez Jr., Arturo Blomquist III and Amado Herrera III.
