Joaquin Zapico, Sr., 81, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 22, 2015.
Mr. Zapico is preceded in death by his sons: Ruben Zapico and David Zapico, great-grandchild: Caitlin De La Rosa, siblings: Efrain Interial, Oralia Lizcano and Rebecca Interial.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Maria De La Luz Rios de Zapico, loving children: Jose Luis (Beatriz) Zapico, Joaquin (Maria) Zapico, Jr., Olga (Humberto) Trevino, Rosaura (Frank) Escobedo, Loida (Tomas) Lombraña, Juan (Irma) Zapico, Daniel (Lourdes) Zapico and Jacob Zapico, 28 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, siblings: Carolina (Ken) Keenan, Priscilla (Pablo) Cisneros and Dora Elia (Jorge) Escudero, daughter-in-law: Celia Zapico, nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends.
The family will be receiving friends, Tuesday, February 24, 2015, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 25, 2015, departing the funeral home chapel at 9:00 am to arrive at Sinai Presbyterian Church, 420 Washington St, Laredo, Texas 78040. Church service will commence at 9:30 am and will be officiated by Rev. Jesus Gonzalez and Pastor Rafael Dominguez. Interment will immediately follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
