Jesus Tapia, 87, was called by the Lord on Saturday, February 1, 2014.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josefa Tapia Salinas and his sister, Mercedes Rodriguez.

Left to cherish his memory are his children: Rosaura (+Estanislado) Rodriguez, Rebecca Treviño, Guadalupe (Eduardo) Sosa, Everardo (Sylvia) Tapia, Jesus Tapia Jr. and Joe (Nancy) Tapia, his sister, Carmen (+Jesus) Ochoa, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, February 3, 2014, from 5pm to 9pm at Fred Dickey Funeral and Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Drive, Laredo, TX 78041, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, from the funeral home, via cortege, to San Luis Rey Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30am. Interment will follow immediately at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
