Jesus M. Rodriguez passed away July 1st at the age of 89.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Ninfa G. Rodriguez and their children Esmeralda R. Hereford (Henry), Jesus Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., Jorge L. Rodriguez (Sara), Javier E. Rodriguez (Rebecca) & Alma R. Boubel (Edward). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.
His wife was always there for him in his struggles to take care of his enormous responsibilities of family. He dedicated his life to educating his children and sent them all to Catholic School. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church his entire adult life.
He enjoyed dancing and never missed an opportunity to take his wife to enjoy the music. His hobby from childhood and throughout his life was having horses. He enjoyed watching his daughters participate in rodeos and horse shows and traveled throughout the State of Texas to take them to compete. He would take all his children to 4-H activities and they also raised lambs and steers. He loved taking his family to the rodeo in San Antonio, TX.
He never missed stock shows and rodeos, and even attended the bull riding in Las Vegas, NV. He worked since the age of 8 and was dedicated to his family first and then his work. He owned Mar’s Used Furniture. His love and dedication to his family and friends will be missed but we can all rest assured that he is now with our Heavenly Father.
The family will be receiving guests on Monday, July 5, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am. Cremation will be held at a later date.
