Jesus (Jesse) Padilla 71, Entered god’s arms and eternal rest on Christmas Day, Comforted by his loving wife of 34 years.
Jesse was born in Frankfurt Germany and moved to Laredo at the age of 1. He graduated from Martin High School and went on to receive an associate degree from LCC in Restaurant Management.
Jesse was a great man, a great husband, and a devoted father and grandfather to his family. His well known charismatic and easy going personality allowed him the opportunity to acquire many friends throughout his lifetime.
Jesse was very active in the community during the 1980’s, Giving unselfishly of his time serving as president of the restaurant association, president of the little league optimist and a member of the Laredo Heart Association.
He started in the food services at Mercy Hospital in 1967, As a Dietary Aide and eventually worked his way up as a service supervisor. Through his involvement and diligence to the community and his work ethics, Jesse went on to become an entrepreneur and opened 3 franchisee Subway Stores. Later on he went on to sell his stores and embarked on a new business franchise, The UPS Store.
The family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, located at 1704 Sandman St, Laredo, TX 78041. The Funeral Mass will begin at 9:30 am. Cremation will be held at a later date.

Jesse is a childhood friend, together with my cousin Tito we were the neighborhood "Rascals" , 3 best friends. Now both my best friends have gone to a better life.
