Jesus G. Ortega, 74, was called to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Mr. Ortega is preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo V. Ortega and parents, Abundio (Maria De Jesus) Ortega.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Christina Ortega, Isabel Ortega, Federico (Dulce) Ortega, Ruben (Araceli) Ortega and Jesus Ortega, Jr.; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; siblings, Refugio Ortega, Patricia Ortega, Manuel Ortega, Federico Ortega, Nieves Ortega and Maria Jackson.  Mr. Ortega is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, May 15, 2018, from 5:00 pm at 9:00 pm.  A rosary will be recited in the evening.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Sagrado Corazon De Jesus Mission, Penitas West, Las Tiendas Rd. Laredo, TX 78045.  A funeral mass will start at 9:00 am.  Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
