Jacob Emmanuel Martinez, your life is a monument in our hearts. Even at the tender age of 17, you left your mark in all of us. We may not understand how crucial some moments are until they become memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Jacob, we will continually honor your quiet pensive nature. We will commemorate your curiosity for the truth and your pursuit of the genuineness in people. We will hold close to our being, your fearless warrior spirit. The way you stoically went into this battle and protected us during the fight of your life was beyond anything that we could have ever expected. Never, once did you complain, knowing that your Savior, Jesus, was right there beside you. The Lord always accepted your prayers, and He has now accepted your spirit and your soul. When the Mighty One returns in glory, we will all be reunited.
Jacob and his family firmly believe that: For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we, which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort one another with these words. 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18
