Ilse Lore Lehr, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014.
Born in Germany, Ilse immigrated to the U.S in 1955. Ilse was an amazing person that lived her life to its fullest. She was a strong and determined woman with a big heart. She is preceded in death by her parents: Hermann and Thelka Lehr, son: Alfonso Herrera and siblings: Herbert, Hermann, Luise, Erna, Karl, Paul and Hans.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Monica (Carlos) Perez and Regina (Armando Carillo) Herrera, and daughter-in-law Shanti; grandchildren: Sachi, Prapatti, Rama, Mohini, Cynthia, Paola, and Constanza and Carlitos (fondly known to her as her kiddies); great-grandchildren: Azmita, Ariely (her “palomita”), Narayan and Haylee, siblings: Otto, Ruth, Käte and Bertha (Don) Klubek.
The family would like to express their utmost gratitude to Drs. Eloy Zamarron, Ricardo Cigarroa and Reymundo Godines, ICU staff at Doctor’s Hospital, staff at University Hospital and Reeves Rehab Center in San Antonio.
The family will be receiving guests on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 5pm to 9pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Drive Laredo, TX 78041, where a prayer service will commence at 7:00pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am, Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2419 Seymour Ave. (956)763-0138.
