Guadalupe Perez, fondly known as “Lupe” was one of four children born to Conrado and Adeloida Perez on November 10, 1933. He was welcomed into our Lord’s heavenly kingdom on April 5, 2021, surrounded by his family.
He married the love of his life, Josefina Roel and together they had two daughters, Cynthia and Elsa Jo. Together they also started their successful business “Perez Body Shop” with a lot of hard work and dedication until the time of retirement, 40 years later.
Lupe’s source of pride and greatest blessings were his daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, He shall forever remain an inspiration to all of them for being an honorable man and a strong, loving, hardworking, and devoted father. Lupe also considered himself very fortunate to have had many lifelong friends whose company he enjoyed especially during coffee time at “La Reynera Bakery” He was a devoted catholic man, who attended St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Lupe was preceded in death by the love of his life of 60 years, Josefina. Also preceded in death were his parents and siblings Roberto, Agustin, and Delia.
Lupe is survived by his daughters Cynthia (Felix) Hernandez, Elsa Jo (Mario) Gutierrez, grandchildren, Erica (Danny) Zuniga, Lizette (Vijay) Dahiya, Andy (Christy) Hernandez, J. Taylor Gutierrez and C. Garret Gutierrez, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will start at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services chapel. A chapel service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Felix Hernandez, III., Dr. Mario Gutierrez, Andy Hernandez, C. Garret Gutierrez, Danny Zuniga and Vijay Dahiya. Honorary pallbearers will be J. Taylor Gutierrez and Isaac Hernandez.
Live streaming will be available for the funeral services including Holy Rosary at www.freddickey.com on Friday, starting at 5:00 pm.

Family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to Griselda Gomez (longtime caregiver), for her dedication and compassionate care and other caregivers Veronica De La Cruz, Maricruz Rodriguez and Maria Lopez. Special thanks to Friendly Home Health and Esmeralda Lisea, as well as Nurses on Wheels for their care and concern throughout his time. And a heartfelt thanks to Father Hector Flores.
