He worked for several years for oil and gas companies and retired from the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Driver License Examiner. In 2013, he moved to San Antonio to live near two of his daughters, grandchildren and sister.
Gregorio enjoyed his early years, loved the outdoors, especially going to the family ranch in Zapata, Texas. His love for the outdoors extended to his life after his military service. He loved hunting, fishing and arrowhead hunting. His trips with his friends to Colorado, Lampazos, the coast, hill country and many ranches he was invited to, served as a reminder of his gratitude for his friends. The memories made from these trips served as great topics of conversation and lessons. The skills he learned being at the ranch and then the military served to teach his grandchildren. The love for God, family and country were instilled in him and continually reminded his family of it. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, his sisters and their children. All his grandchildren had a hand of service throughout his illness. Greg was loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
