Gloria Hilda G. Luan, 73, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved spending time with family and looked forward to family gatherings.
She worked at the City of Laredo Health Department for over 20 years. Among many hobbies, she loved bird watching and traveling accompanied by her sisters.
Mrs. Luan is preceded in death by her parents, Ascencion Garcia, Adela Garcia, in-laws; Jose Luan and Irene Luan, sisters; Rosita Deliganis, Norma Landin, Anita Brown and Mary Bocanegra.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Raul Luan; children, Patricia (Gerardo) Guzman, Tammy Ramirez, Susan (Fernando, Jr.) Lozano, Roel (Amanda) Luan, Sara Martinez and Jose Oscar (Sarah) Luan; grandchildren, Christina (Ricardo) Salinas, Sara (Luis) Villarreal, Jose Antonio (Daisy) Ojeda, Clarissa Guzman, Luis Guzman, Celina (Miguel) Chapa, Candelario Ramirez, III, Carolina Ramirez, Priscilla Lozano, Erika Lozano, Gabriel Jose Luan, Aleina Hazel Luan, Dustin Martinez, Jose Oscar Luan, Jr., Syrah Luan and Candyce Grace Luan; siblings, Graciela (Ignacio) Sanchez, Roberto (Evgenia) Garcia, Laura (Richard) Shealy, Betty (Ron) Presti and Sylvia (Ismael) Arellano.
The family will be receiving guests Sunday, March 11, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services. A holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be Monday, March 12, 2018, at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A funeral mass will start at 8:30 am. Interment will follow the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roel Luan, Ismael Arellano, Jr., Roberto Arellano, Luis Guzman, Ricardo Salinas and Luis Villarreal.
