Gloria C. Soto, 85, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Mrs. Soto is preceded in death by her husband, Victor Soto, parents: Melchor and Concepcion Chavez, her daughter, Gloria Ramirez and brother, Arturo Chavez.
Left to cherish and honor her memory are her loving children: Daniel (Maria Rosa) Soto, Dora (+Roberto) Villarreal, Yolanda (Jose A.) Lara, Olga (+Eduardo) Teniente, Raul (Lucy) Soto, Patricia (Vidal) Elizondo, David (Rosalinda) Soto, Victor (Marisela) Soto, Rosa Elena (Leydiana) Soto and Ricardo (Frances) Soto, sisters and brothers: Carolina Torres, Minerva Molina, Olivia Gonzalez, MaElena Azuna, Esperanza Chavez, Irene Martinez, Alicia Navarro, Jorge Chavez, Aurelio Chavez and Isabel Parra, 39 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving guests on Friday, January 10, 2014, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services, 1320 Trey Dr. Laredo, TX 78041, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services where a chapel service will be officiated at 9:00am. Interment will follow immediately at the City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Soto, Raul Soto, Victor Soto, Ricardo Soto, Rosa Soto, Ricardo Ramirez, Vidal Elizondo and Jose Lara.
