Obituary

George Sanchez, 82, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 3, 2023.

Mr. Sanchez is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years of marriage, Maria De Jesus Sanchez; children, Jorge Jaime Sanchez, Julian Joel (Maribel) Sanchez, Jesus Javier (Michelle) Sanchez, Linda Fay (Rafael Flores) Sanchez, Melinda Fay Flores, and Kassandra Gizeth Sanchez; grandchildren, Georgina Gizette Sanchez, Jorge Jaime Sanchez, Jr. Marisabel Sanchez, Mariana Sanchez, Marilyn Sanchez, Marissa Sanchez, David Lara, Jr. , Christopher Alek Sanchez, Abel Sanchez,  Alan Sanchez, Shawn Thomas Flores, Jasmine Marie Flores, Kimberlee Marie Flores and Mellany Marie Flores; sister, Sylvia (Valdemar)  Martinez and brother, Rodolfo Sanchez; as well as numerous relatives and friends that will greatly miss him.

The Sanchez family will be receiving guests on Friday, July 14, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A rosary will be recited in the evening.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 from the funeral home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, located at 1602 Garcia St.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow to the Laredo City Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 and flag presentation will be provided by the United States Army honor guard.
