George B. Kawas, 73, entered into eternal rest, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving wife, children and family. Mr. Kawas is survived by his wife of 54 years of marriage, Sylvia Kawas; children, George B. (Cynthia) Kawas, Jr, Michelle (Horacio) Perez-Kawas and Priscilla (Sharaz) Kawas; grandchildren, Rebekah Kawas, Liam Boone, Madalynn Khan, Adam Khan, Alejandra Perez-Kawas and Ariela Perez-Kawas; as well as other family members and friends that will greatly miss him.

The family will be receiving condolences on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from the funeral home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Interment will follow immediately in the Veteran’s Section of the Laredo City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George B. Kawas, Jr, Liam Boone, Horacio Perez, Jose Luis Palacios, Juan Garcia, Jesus B. Kawas and Daniel Moreno Jr. Military Honors will be provided by the Laredo Veterans Honor Guard and flag presentation will be provided by the United States Army honor guard.
