A piece of my childhood is gone, I knew Mr. Ambrose since junior high. A strong and beautiful soul has departed, but he will not be forgotten. My love is with his family today and always. Love you all....

Gaspar Ambrose: He was dedicated to all he served; his family, the U.S. Army, the City and citizens of Laredo and his endless list of friends. He was pleasantly unique in his personality as those who ever met him would attest. He was unique in the tools and approaches he brought to the job and those approaches remained highly effective till the end of his career. He will forever be remembered for his trademark quick wit. He was a pleasure and an honor to work with. Sgt. Ambrose will be greatly missed.

I grew up next door to the Ambrose family. I remember being young when our alarm went off and Mr Ambrose ran over quickly, thoroughly checking each room and outside the house to assure us that we were safe. He was a kind man and I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My sincerest condolences go out to Mrs. Ambrose and family. May God give you strength and peace during such a difficult time.

Dearest Ambrose Family, So sorry I was to hear of Gaspar's passing. He was a special MHS classmate of mine. You must be very proud of the person Gaspar was. My thanks to him for serving our country in the Army, and as a well honored and beloved Policeman and Detective. His job was very important, and I can see that he had many awards for the great work that he did through the years ! He was obviously a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and more.Love hearing about the yearly beach trips with his grandchildren and family How I love the photo of him looking so happy and healthy at his beloved Gwendolyn's wedding not so very long ago.
