He enjoyed watching his grand-kids play basketball and going to the “maquinitas”.
Mr. Costilla was preceded in death by: his father, Santos Costilla, Sr. and brother: Javier Costilla. He is survived by his daughter: Ana Laura (Marco) Fuentes, sons: Emilio Costilla, Rene (Edna) Costilla and Kevin Costilla, mother: Juanita Costilla, grandchildren: Geraldine & Elijah Fuentes, Kike, Emily, Stephanie, Joseph, Rene Jr., Valeria & Daniel Costilla, brothers and sisters: Elvia A. (Daniel) Maldonado, Santos (Laura) Costilla, Jr., Tomas Costilla, Sylvia (Zeke) Ramirez, Antonio Costilla, Alex Costilla, Sandra (Jaime) Vasquez, Apple (Tomas) Jimenez and Irma (Luis) Ramirez and best friend: Yolanda Magee. He leaves behind many relatives and friends.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services from 5:00pm to 9:00pm where a prayer service will be officiated at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be, Friday, August 15, 2014. Funeral procession will depart Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services at 9:00 am for a graveside service at the City Cemetery. Graveside service will commence at 9:30 am. Interment will then follow immediately follow.

Dear Costilla family, My deepest sympathies on the loss of your loved one, Emilio. I met Emilio in our old neighborhood. Tomas and I are ex-classmates and good friends also. I would see Emilio often at Danny's Restaurant on San Bernardo Avenue and would sit and talk to him about the 'good ole days'. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
