Elizabeth Fields Shawgo Smallwood

Mrs. Elizabeth Fields Shawgo Smallwood, 78, formally of West Monroe, LA left this life on October 12, 2016, in Laredo, TX.

Mrs. Smallwood was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Monroe, LA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Don Smallwood of Lampasas, TX, also by her mother and father; Fannie and LC Fields, one brother; Tommy Fields, two sisters; Glinda Fields and Martha Fields Weaver.

She is survived by her children; Elizabeth Shawgo, Roy Paul Shawgo and Jeffery Scott Shawgo.  Also surviving her are Don’s children, Cheryl, James, Donna, Tracy and Christie, 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Smallwood was survived by her brothers; Lloyd, David and Bill Fields, her sisters; Mae Hillis, Lucille Jungina, Bettie Tee, Eunice Vermillion and Sandi Schiele.  She was well loved by all of her nieces and nephews and anyone that knew her.

Her memorial service will be held at Eastside Baptist Church, 320 80^th St. in Monroe, LA, on October 28, 2016, at 2:00 pm.  Memorial visitation will be at 1:00 pm in the church.  Brother Robert Smith and Brother John Hillis will be officiating the service.

Church and graveside service will be held, November 4, 2016, at Calvary Baptist Church, Hwy 190, Lampasas, TX, at 1:00pm.
