Obituary

Elizabeth Degollado, 67, entered into eternal rest, Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  Mrs. Degollado is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Degollado, Sr.; parents, Marina and Luis Rogerio; brother, Baby Michael Rogerio, mother in law, Librada Amalia Degollado; father in law, Manuel Pablo Luis Degollado; brothers in law, Ricardo (Mary Jo) Degollado, Eduardo Degollado and Manuel Degollado; sister in law, Rosalinda Degollado.

She is survived by her children, Carlos R. (Jessica Santos) Martinez, Jr., Melissa Marina (RJ) Flores, Paul Degollado, Jr., Maria Yvette (Samuel) Franco; siblings, Elsa Marina (Geronimo) Santos, Jesus Luis (Lily) Rogerio, Sylvia (Hector) Arce, Rosa Alicia (Roberto) Vera, Luis (Lisa) Rogerio, Jr., Jose Luis Rogerio; 4 grandchildren, Carolina Santos, Samuel Franco, Lucius Franco and Hazel Franco; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who she adored. Along with her housekeeper and longtime friend, Paula Sarabia-Aguilar. Elizabeth is also survived by her brothers in law, Jose C. (Esther) Degollado, Oscar (Angela) Degollado, Hector (Dolores) Degollado; sisters in law, Sandra (Humberto) Lopez, Lorenza Degollado, Dionne A. Degollado, Maria A. Degollado and many other relatives and friends.

The family would like to express their upmost gratitude to Dr. Arturo Garza-Gongora and staff, Dr. Mohsen Ghadimi-Mahani and the nurses at the San Antonio Methodist Hospital caring for her at the time of illness.

The Degollado family will be receiving guests on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in the Angelus Chapel at Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services a wake will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  A prayer service will be officiated by Pastor Gilberto Salinas at 8:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from the funeral home to Laredo First Assembly Church. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Carlos Ricardo Martinez, Jr., Pablo Degollado, Jr., Arjuna Gabriel Flores, Jose Luis Rogerio, Roberto Vera, Jr., Daniel Rene Vera, Roberto Gonzalez, Jr and Christopher Santos.
